Limekilns

Limekilns,  is a quiet and attractive village on the north shore of the River Forth. It lies a little to the west of the Forth Road Bridge on the shores of the Firth of Forth and part of the Fife Coastal Path.  An  idyllic location offering links to Scotlands capital city of  Edinburgh  and within easy reach of Glasgow. The  surrounding historic cities of Dunfermline and Stirling are close by both offering  much to see and do. Below you will find useful local information and helpful links to use during your stay.

  • The Harbours of Limekilns – Historic walking area along the coastal routes of the town.

  • Rosyth Old Parish Church – Historical ruin of a church and graveyard with beautiful views south over the River Forth.

 

  • Limekilns, Charlestown, & Pattiesmuir War Memorial – A monument to the local men who fought and died in service during the first and second world wars.
