As a privately owned cottage, Peartree is designed and finished to a high standard with individual touches to make it both different and comfortable.

The ground floor is open plan with a dining table that sits 6 comfortably and a well equipped kitchen with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a sitting area with two sofas, an armchair and a wood burning stove which combined with underfloor heating on the ground floor makes the cottage cosy even in winter months.

There is a downstairs twin bedded room with an en-suite bathroom with both a shower and separate bath, often popular with older visitors. Up the spiral staircase a galleried walkway leads to a twin bedded room, a double bedroom and an upstairs bathroom. Heating upstairs is provided by radiators. There is a large flat screen TV above the fireplace and a DVD player. Remote internet access is also available.

With lots of space to park on the drive, there is also a table and chairs for sitting outside or barbequing.

All bedlinen and towels are provided inclusively and a travel cot with mattress and high chair can be supplied on demand for a small extra charge.

Guests are welcomed into the cottage with fresh flowers, biscuits or cake and milk and teabags. After that you can shop in Corbridge which has excellent local shops such as butchers, bakers, greengrocers and deli or visit Hexham with its 24hour Tesco or Waitrose.
